OLISSA is the student organization for the University of Oklahoma School of Library and Information Studies.

Our mission is to bring library students together with one another, faculty, and library and knowledge management professionals. Remember these upcoming events:

Dr. Loriene Roy, SLIS Directorship Candidate, will give a presentation and meet with students in Norman on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, 3:30 - 4:15 pm, in Bizzell, Room 100, and in Tulsa on Thursday, March 11, 2010, 2:00 – 2:45 pm at the Schusterman campus, Room 3J23.
SLISebration will be held Saturday, March 27th at the Oklahoma Memorial Union.
A retirement reception in honor of Dr. June Lester will be held at the Oklahoma Library Association Conference on Monday, April 19, 2010, at 5:30 pm. Students and collegues are encouraged to attend. Attendees do not have to register for the OLA Conference to attend this event.

Budgetary Matters

OLISSA is a recognized student organization at the University of Oklahoma and receives a budget through UOSA. We use these funds for:

workshops, colloquia, and panel discussions of interest to the student body
sponsoring attendance at regional and national conferences
